What is Global Competence?

  • Encompasses the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to understand and address global challenges.

  • Ability to examine issues of local, global, and cultural significance. 

  • Understanding and appreciating the perspectives of others, fostering an openness to different worldviews and the ability to consider multiple points of view.

  • Engaging in meaningful and effective interactions with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. 

  • Empowers individuals to take informed action, creating responses that contribute to a more equitable, sustainable, and peaceful world.

With Global Competence our Students Will Have:

  • Investigate the world beyond their immediate environment

  • Frame and make send of significant issuesL

  • Learn to recognize their own and others' perspectives

  • Articulate and explain such perspectives

  • Communicate across differences, bridging cultural linguistics and economic and religious divides.
