Aloha!

I've been an educator for the past 21 years, working with students in grades PreK-6 in both general education and inclusion settings. In addition to teaching, I have supported teachers as an Instructional Coach, focusing on professional growth and instructional excellence. Currently, I teach Computer Science to grades K-6, where I integrate innovative practices to engage students in solving real-world challenges.

I have been honored to serve in various leadership roles that reflect my commitment to advancing education and fostering collaborative growth working with community members and stakeholders. Through these roles, I honed my teacher leadership skills, deepened my understanding of the continuous school improvement process, and led collaborative inquiries to address student-centered challenges.

What sparked my path as a global educator was a core belief:I wanted to help my students, and myself, truly understand the world, and to create meaningful connections between what we did in the classroom and the larger global community. I believe that truly preparing students for our increasingly interconnected world goes beyond just knowing about it. My focus is on giving them hands-on skills they can actually use, which is why I'm so passionate about teaching computer science in a way that directly relates to real-world challenges.
