From Island Shores to Global Doors
Going Global from the Heart of the Pacific
E Komo Mai...Welcome!
My name is Kevin Agtarap and I am a computer science teacher in Hawai`i on the island of O`ahu. I am 2024-2025 Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Fellow, and I look forward to our journey into global education.

Living and teaching in Hawai'i has really opened my eyes to how naturally connected we are to the wider world. Being situated right in the heart of the Pacific gives us a unique opportunity: we get to blend our local traditions with global possibilities, and this truly fuels creativity, innovation, and a strong sense of responsibility for our planet and each other. This feeling of kuleana, our inherent duty to care for our environment, isn't just an idea; it shapes how we live every day. It's a constant reminder that our relationship with the land isn't just something we possess, but a deep responsibility that drives us to protect and nurture this shared home for future generations.
